“If I can only be as generously and unanimously sustained as the demonstrations I have witnessed indicate I shall be, I shall not fail.”
The Lincoln Depot Museum, at Water and Centre Streets in Peekskill, NY, will explore and commemorate President Abraham Lincoln and New York, the Indispensable Relationship.
In particular, it will celebrate President-elect Lincoln's Peekskill stop on his inaugural train journey from Springfield, on February 19, 1861. The Lincoln Depot Foundation in cooperation with The City of Peekskill will develop and operate a museum, plaza and visitor’s center designed to illustrate the vital role Peekskill's citizens played in Lincoln's presidency and the Civil War effort.
You are invited to take part in building this place of living history. For more information about our project, to volunteer or to make a contribution please contact Susan Jacobson, our Executive Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org
